About our rides

The Club holds two national events each year being the Annual General Meeting in late Spring/early Summer and the Winter Rally in June. These national rides draw attendance from most states with the AGM being the most popular and obviously the most important.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is run towards the end of spring or early summer and is usually alternated between the northern and southern states, previously the AGM has been held in Mt Gambier SA 2018, Deloraine TAS 2017 and Temora NSW 2016, though the Club did hold the AGM in Alice Springs in 2013. It is intended to be more of an annual pilgramage with members coming from around the country. Usually there will be a ride in itself in order to get to, and/or from the AGM with some members taking extra time to sight see after the AGM proceedings. The format is a 3 day event with arrivals on Friday and a meet and greet. An AGM Rally on the Saturday with a ride of 200kms or so with the AGM in the afternoon followed by the AGM dinner. Sunday there is another shorter ride in the locality before people depart. The AGM organiser typically produces an AGM information pack for attendees which includes: a cloth badge with place and year to sew on to your jacket/vest; maps of the AGM Rally and Sunday ride; an AGM agenda; and local information and sites of interest. Trophies are awarded at the AGM dinner, trophies typically include: Best UCE; Best Redditch; Best Cast Iron; Best Electra; Best Parallel Twin; Best V Twin; Best Overall Enfield; Best non-Enfield; Longest ride on an Enfield to the AGM; Longest distance ridden between AGMs; Chook award; Norm Keen hard luck trophy, amongst others. As other models are purchased by members different categories may be added.

The Winter Rally is usually run at alternating locations either side of the VIC/NSW border in order to accommodate members from ACT/NSW/SA/Tas/Vic. Some of the locations have been Tathra 2018, Holbrook 2017, and Gundagai 2016. Held on the Queen’s Birthday long weekend in June to make it easier for all to attend. It is a 2 day format, taking advantage of the long weekend, with a meet and greet on the Saturday night for those who can make it, a Rally ride and Winter Rally dinner on Sunday, leaving Monday for people to make their ways home. Trophies are awarded at the Winter Rally dinner.
